Drew’s Dallas Cowboys Mock Draft

First rd pick 14- The Dallas Cowboys select: Mark Barron. Barron is the best safety in a very weak class but he is no weak link. Just ask around the SEC, all Mr. Barron did at Alabama was win 2 National Championships and he was the quarterback for an excellent Crimson Tide Defense. If Barron is there at 14, i believe the cowboys will snag him.

Second Rd Pick 45: The Dallas Cowboys select: Bruce Irvin. I really like Bruce Irvin because of his natural pass rush ability. Anthony Spencer leaves much to be desired opposite Demarcus Ware.He will get after the Quarterback with reckless abandon. He led the Big East and West Virginia in sacks in 2010 with 14.5 and was WV’s sack leader again with 7.5 sacks.

3rd rd Pick 81: The Dallas Cowboys select: Trumaine Johnson. I’m a huge Trumaine Johnson fan and he’s been on my sleeper list for a while. This guy is big and physical plus he loves to play press coverage. He’s 6’2 and stands at 205 lbs and if you’ve been following the Cowboys lately they have revamped their secondary by going after big physical corners like Brandon Carr. Mike Jenkins is a free agent at season’s end and if you can’t work out a deal i believe this guy can step in and be a play maker for the cowboys secondary.

4th rd Pick 113: The Dallas Cowboys select: Ryan Bryoles. All Ryan Broyles did at Oklahoma was lead in the NCAA in catches. Put him anywhere the slot or outside he makes plays and causes defenses headaches. Sadly he tore his ACL back in November so he’s projected to a 4th rd pick. This is an important pick because Laurant Robinson just left for Jacksonville and the cowboys need a replacement for him.

4th rd pick 152: The Dallas Cowboys select: Phillip Blake. Mr Blake is big, strong and sturdy and would already compete for the starting center spot in Dallas if pick by the Boys. He’s a good run blocker and a solid pass protector. He was also the leader on an offensive line that helped RGIII win the Heisman Trophy.

5th rd Pick 152: The Dallas Cowboys select: Hebron Fangupo. I think it’s time for the Cowboys to draft a plugger to be the anchor of the middle of the defense. I love Jay Ratliff and all e brings to the table but he wears down at the end of the season. Mr. Fangupo is big fella and stands at 6’1- 323lbs, he would provide an instant presence in the middle of the cowboys defense.

6th rd pick 186: The Dallas Cowboys select: Terrance Ganaway. I love Ganaway at this pick because it gives the cowboys great value. Mr. Ganaway rushed for a school record 1,547 yards and scored 21 touchdowns last last and also was an All-Big 12 selection. He’d become a valuable short yardage and goal line back.

7th rd Pick: The Dallas Cowboys select: Cliff Harris. Not too long long Cliff Harris was one of the premier corner’s going into the 2011 College Football Season. Sadly he kicked out of school along with off-field issues. In 2010 he had 6 interceptions and led the nation with 4 punt return touchdowns. He has talent but will the cowboys take that risk. I say yes considering if he can keep his nose clean and come play everyday.
