It’s all come down to this Game 7 the final chapter in what has turned out to be a rough and rugged series between the Miami Hat and Boston Celtics. Let’s make this clear right here and right now both teams can’t stand each other and both teams hate to lose to each other. Boston eliminated Lebron James is 2008 and in 2010 also the Celtics ended his reign in Cleveland. Dwanye Wade was also bounced by the Celtics in 2010 he and Lebron James watched the Celtics compete for another NBA Title against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Last season Miami ousted the Celtics in a five game series as they went on to play for championship against the Dallas Mavericks.Miami easily closed the door on the New York Knicks in five games and eliminated the Indiana Pacers in six games. Boston has had to scrap and claw their way to playoff victories over the Atlanta Hawks in six games and over the Philadelphia 76ers in seven games.
When the series first started Miami held serve on their home court taking a 2-0 series lead. The series shifted to Boston and the celtics also protected home court and the series was tied 2-2. In game five Paul Pierce aka The Truth knocked down a cold blooded three-pointer that put them up in the series 3-2. Lebron James put on an amazing performance in game 6, he did just about whatever he wanted when he wanted. Lebron dominated the Celtics from started to finish in game 6 and it drew comparisons to his 21 straight point game against the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference Finals in 2007. The thing i loved about Lebron’s performance is that he played angry, pissed off and he just had that come on my back and I’ll get us to the promise land look.
In order for the Celtics to win, their going to have to keep the game under 100 points and play suffocating defense from start to finish. Rajon Rondo must be the leader and general of the Celtics attack. Paul Pierce was flat out awful in the previous game and he must take his game up another level if the Celtics are to prevail. Kevin Garnett aka the Big Ticket has to come up big rebounding wise and win his individual match up with Chris Bosh. The Celtics also need key contributions from Ray Allen, Brandon Bass and Mickael Pietrus.
In order for the Heat to win, they must play win a sense of urgency from start to finish and also push the pace whenever they can. Dwanye Wade must play a key role in the game tonight especially on the defensive side of the ball when he guards Rajon Rondo. If wade lets rondo get going early Miami might have to start making travel arrangements for the summer. Chris Bosh has got to play with passion and intensity tonight against Kevin Garnett because K.G will bring it. They need Mario Chalmers, Mike Miller and Shane Battier to take and make outside shots with confidence. And Finally Lebron James just play play like the MVP that you are, be the best player out on the court and go hard from start to finish.
It’s simple whoever loses, their team will probably not look the same going into next season. Will Pat Riley break up the Big 3 if Miami loses, will Erik Spolstra be on the sidelines if they lose. Is it the final chapter for Boston’s Big 3 if they lose. We’ll see how everything plays out tonight on South Beach tonight for Game 7.
